Royston & County Rock School;
Royston's Unique Rock Guitar Teacher: 'Del'. 9 years experience serving North Herts & South Cambs.
- Learn from the man with the guitar, not a DVD:
- Beginners will be trained from the ground up using the 'stagewise' musician approach,
- Mid-stage players will be advanced with fret-board fluency and 'musical ear' skills,
- School music students will be shown the tricks of trade that do & don't come with GCSEs,
- More advanced players will be fussily fine tuned and assisted with their own songs,
- Guitars get mixed with realistic drum patterns through a high quality stereo sound system, plus digital effects and overdrive.
What's it all about?
Beginners to advanced, I will help you build up the musical fluency where you take control: Learn your favorite music, even combine them with your own ideas and make music of your own ready for performance to a live audience; with your future bands, as a soloist, or to friends and family at parties.
During one-to-one Electric, Acoustic & Bass guitar lessons at my home music studio you will learn to work your guitar with other instruments using all the modern tools including realistic drum patterns, and play music using your ears with tablature to take away, not learning from a book.
Unique & Intuitive lessons using tools⁄technologies such us;
• With Sound Forge I can pick small portions of a song and 'loop' it, letting us listen & play along to a specific piece of guitar play over and over. And I can slow the song down without dropping the notes too.
• Fruity Loops is an advanced sample sequencer (drum machine) and I have tons of genuine drum samples so we will be playing along to realistic, full drum kit sounds when practicing, not ticking metronomes or an 808™
• Line 6 & Digitech 'Amp Modelling' units for great guitar sounds with effects, plug them into the Behringer mixer along with the music from the PC, makes for a very tight studio sound when it all comes out in stereo!
• Cubase? Every now and then we need to record what you are playing complete with drum section & bass, so you can put down the guitar, listen back and analyse your sound.
• When I create my chord pictures and other guitar lesson graphics I don't sketch it on paper with a pencil, I use Adobe Photoshop as I'm quite good with that too.
