NIRVANA: IN BLOOM
During a lesson teaching the special trick in this song's intro, we looked it up on tab sites and Nobody else had noted it up;
At the end of the Intro power chords there is a mini-riff in the form of a rise of 3 notes, single-string not chord ('Monophonic'). Kurt did this in a few songs and it adds quite a groovy flavour to the sound that most amateur guitarists out there just won't know about.
Vital Tip: In play like this intro where you switch suddenly from 3-string chords to 1-string mini riffs, you should keep your plectrum swings tidy on the chords.
