Foo Fighters: No Way Back
A typical Foo Fighters rhythm style this; you don't start the riff on the first beat, it starts on "4 & " and overlaps to the next "1 & ". It's just the way you make simple 3 note music like this sound more interesting, don't get intimidated please.
In the intro riff ; keep the E open all the time as you play the mini riff on the next string(s). The precision here is when you go to the 9th fret D you must keep your finger tip touching the A to stop unwanted notes. You don't need to use your eyes for that; can you feel a bit of metal on the end of your finger?

↑What you do with the A string here
isn't important. If it is open you get
the same note as E @5th fret anyway.
