Sabotage uses a rhythm style known as 'Syncopation'.
Syncopated rhythms are when the count of the beat works as 1234 but another instrument plays notes in a loop of 3's

Vital tip: your index finger should be resting on the D string’s 5th fret ready to push in for the note. Don't let fingers hover in mid air because they loose control and need to be guided back down.
